Introduction

Welcome to TimeStreem. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

By using TimeStreem, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Developer / Operator Information

1. Data Collection and Usage

Apple requires apps to be transparent about data collection. TimeStreem is designed with a “local first” philosophy.

1.1 Information You Provide (Local Processing)

To provide core features such as the Life Clock, Timeline, and anniversaries / countdowns, the app processes the following data on your device:

Crucial privacy note: The information above is stored locally on your device (in the app sandbox and WebView storage used by the client). We do not upload this content to our servers in the current version, and we cannot access your life events or birth date on our systems.

If we introduce optional features such as accounts, cloud sync, analytics, or crash reporting in the future, we will update this policy, show clear notice in the app or on the store page, and obtain consent where required by law before those features collect or transmit your data.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information (Network)

When the app uses the internet, standard technical data may be processed by networks and service providers involved in that connection. In the current build this includes, for example:

We use network access only to deliver technical functionality (such as loading assets). We do not use this information inside TimeStreem to identify you personally or to build an advertising profile. We do not sell your personal data. We do not integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the current version; if that changes, this policy will name the partners and purposes.

Discover content: Editorial articles shown in Discover are bundled inside the app in the current version, so reading that section does not require us to receive your timeline or life-clock data. Network activity may still occur independently (for example, for fonts as described above).

2. Permissions and Sensitive Data

We only request system permissions when they are strictly necessary. The current iOS build does not ask for camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or location for TimeStreem’s main features.

Sensitive information: A date of birth may be treated as sensitive in some regions (for example under GDPR or similar laws). In TimeStreem it is used only on your device to power visualizations and calculations you initiate. We do not transmit it to our backend in the current version.

Third-party sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your on-device milestone data with advertisers or data brokers in the current version. Third parties such as font CDNs process only the technical connection data inherent to HTTPS requests, as described in Section 1.2.

3. Data Storage and Security

Local storage: Your entries and settings stay in the app’s sandbox and WebView storage until you delete records in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the application.

iCloud / backups: If you use Apple’s device backup or iCloud backup, whether app data is included depends on your Apple ID and device settings. That process is controlled by Apple; we cannot access your backup files.

Security: Use a device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, and avoid sharing your unlocked device with untrusted people. Anyone with full access to your unlocked device may be able to see data stored locally in the app.

4. Children’s Privacy

TimeStreem is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the higher age required where you live). If you are a minor, please use the app only with a parent or guardian and their consent.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected a child’s personal information, contact us using the email below and we will take appropriate steps, including deletion where the law allows.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK, California, or other regions), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to opt out of certain uses.

Local data: Because your timeline and life-clock inputs are stored locally, you can in many cases access, edit, or delete them inside the app, or remove them entirely by uninstalling TimeStreem.

Withdraw consent: You may stop using the app or delete it from your device at any time.

For statutory requests that apply to us (for example if we later process data on our servers), contact us at the email in Section 7. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by law.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time—for example when we add new features or when laws change. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top and, when the changes are material, provide additional notice (such as in-app text or App Store release notes) where appropriate.

We encourage you to review this page periodically.
